Madison's Little Chef Party

Decor:
Red, black and white damask, black and white stripes
Pennant Banners- hang above kitchen bar, over striped wall
Paper fan banner  "Happy Birthday" red fans, white circles, black letters
Paper cone pom-poms
Glass jars and bowls filled with red, black and white candy/foods
Black and White striped wall in dining room? White sheet from Goodwill, sew black stripes- tack to wall.
Photo/monogram chandelier- hang over coffee table
Tie balloons to end table
Plastic table cloth under table
Borrow nursery chairs?
Dining table- Food and cake
Round coffee table- gifts (move to left of couch)
Bar- candy buffet for goodie bags,  tie on labels with ribbon and fabric scraps. measuring cups and spoons as scoops.

Food:
Kid hors d'oeuvres: fruit kabobs, pigs in a blanket, pb&j tarts
Juice boxes- cover with red paper, damask strip, black oval and white initial (one for each kid)
Cupcakes- white cake, white frosting, red sprinkles, gray gumpaste utensils, black liners with red ribbon (one cupcake with candles)
Cupcake pedestals- make out of goodwill dishes spraypainted red, white, black. Tiny upside down bowl on center of tallest for candled cupcake.
Red paper plates, cups for adults, napkins
Cucumber water for adults.
Candy buffet: red vines, candy canes, red lollipops, cookies and cream bars?, white mints, m&ms?

Activities:
Chef's hat  -cardstock and tissue paper, names on each. Decorate with stickers, crayons (save can for crayons, cover with paper), sticky foam shapes?
Wooden spoon heads?- Buy a stack of cheap wooden spoons of all sizes and give the kids lots of scraps, wool, paints, marker pens, glitter glue and so on and get them to make a spoon dolly.
Decorate aprons- fabric markers, trace hands

Schedule:
10:00 Watch Ratatouille as kids arrive, decorate hats.
10:15 Active game?
10:30 Decorate Aprons
10:45 Eat, movie back on
11:15 Cake and singing
11:30 Presents, play with kitchen
